Wairewa Marae Booking Enquiry

Our marae sustains us and our way of life. We run regular whānau wānanga and events throughout the year, and we welcome manuhiri from across the country to our home.

We accept bookings from a range of groups, including Business/Pakihi for meetings, noho, training, or events; Community/Kaupapa for educational or community-focused activities; and School/Kura, including early childhood centres, primary, intermediate, and secondary schools, for educational visits.

Whānau/Internal Rūnanga Members may book for personal or whānau use, provided they are registered with the rūnanga.

Things to Note

  • All visits must be booked in advance through the marae booking coordinator with a completed booking form. Confirmation is subject to marae availability.

  • A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure the booking. Confirmation is issued once the deposit is received.

  • Wairewa Marae is a smoke-free, alcohol-free, drug-free, and gang insignia-free environment.

  • Tangihanga take precedence over any confirmed bookings. In the event of Tangihanga, existing or future bookings may be rescheduled or cancelled; the marae booking coordinator will communicate with the booking groups as soon as possible.

  • Cancellations must be notified in writing at least 7 days in advance.

  • Wairewa Rūnanga reserves the right to decline bookings that conflict with community use, maintenance needs, or cultural obligations.
