The Executive Board provides governance leadership and strategic oversight for Wairewa Rūnanga. Guided by the Wairewa Strategic Plan, the Board is committed to upholding good governance practices that prioritise transparency, accountability, ethical decision-making, and effective risk management.
The Executive Board supports inclusive and informed decision-making, fosters open communication with whānau, and promotes kōtahitanga through respectful dialogue that uplifts collective mana. Through continual review, learning, and evaluation, the Board works to ensure the Rūnanga remains adaptable, compliant, and focused on achieving positive, long-term outcomes for Wairewa whānau

Te Kete o Wairewa is the asset holding and investment company wholly owned by Wairewa Rūnanga. Guided by the Strategic Plan, Te Kete plays a key role in growing, managing, and protecting rūnanga assets to support long-term economic sustainability and intergenerational wellbeing.
Te Kete focuses on responsible capital deployment, prudent risk management, and diversified investment across sectors aligned with Wairewa values and strengths. Through culturally aligned business development, strategic partnerships, and infrastructure investment, Te Kete works to create sustainable economic growth while upholding the mana, aspirations, and prosperity of Wairewa whānau now and into the future.
