Regulatory Standards Bill Submissions Close

🚨Regulatory Standards Bill – 13 DAYS LEFT TO MAKE A SUBMISSION🚨

This bill is being pushed through Parliament quickly — and while it’s especially harmful to Māori, it will affect all New Zealanders.

It gives more power to the wealthy to challenge laws, makes it harder to pass future legislation that supports social equity, and weakens protections for kaupapa Māori and environmental action. It places individual rights above collective wellbeing and doesn’t honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Regulatory Standards Bill Submission - New Zealand Parliament

Still stuck on what to write? It doesn’t have to be anything complicated! You can keep it short and simple.

I/We wish to make the following comments -

Start with introducing yourself, then say you oppose the bill and why:

  • I oppose this bill because it does not uphold Te Tiriti o Waitangi

  • I oppose this bill because it is short-sighted and will result in significant negative impact to Aotearoa

  • I oppose this bill because it will weaken environmental protections.

I/We wish to make the following recommendations -

  • I recommend that this bill be withdrawn in it’s entirety

  • I recommend that the bill be thrown out

Let’s stand together to protect Te Tiriti, our people, and the future of Aotearoa.
